Calling All Artists: Showcase Your Work at Reiman Gardens’ Spring Enchantment!

Ames, IA – Reiman Gardens in Ames, Iowa, is now accepting applications for local artists to showcase their talents! There are two opportunities, each occurring in April 2025 during Reiman Gardens’ 30th anniversary. 

Spring Enchantment Festival

The Spring Enchantment Festival, taking place at Reiman Gardens on April 19, 2025, is a unique opportunity for early career artists to share their nature-inspired goods and creations with the public through sales and display in a beautiful garden setting. Only a select number of applicants will be accepted. Accepted artists will receive a complimentary booth (valued at $150), access to tables, chairs, and electricity within the booth (valued at $50), and a $50 grant-funded stipend. 

Support is provided by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Iowa Arts Council, which exists within the Iowa Economic Development Authority. 

Who can apply? Artists incorporating gardening, nature, or natural materials into their work (including goods/creations that can be placed in the garden, worn, or used in the home) are encouraged to apply. Work created using commercial kits, molds, patterns, or prefabricated forms will not be allowed. Each featured artist must fit the description of being a local, early-career, or emerging artist who has not previously participated as a vendor in other events at Reiman Gardens. Applications will be judged and juried by a panel, and a maximum of 20 artists will be accepted.

Fairy Doors and Creature Homes

In addition to emerging artist vendors, Reiman Gardens is seeking imaginative creators to design Fairy Doors and Creature Homes for our monthlong Spring Enchantment event in April. These enchanting installations will help transform the Gardens into a whimsical wonderland that captures the spirit of spring and creativity.
